Epidural Injections

Epidural injections help relieve pain caused by inflamed or irritated spinal nerves by delivering medication directly into the epidural space of the spine through a small needle. This treatment can improve mobility and enable patients to return to their daily routines with greater ease.

Facet joints in the spine enable movement such as twisting, turning, and bending. When these joints become irritated or damaged, they can cause pain and discomfort. A facet block helps relieve this pain by delivering a local anesthetic directly into the affected joint.

A lumbar sympathetic block provides relief for those dealing with lower back pain by targeting the sympathetic nerves along either side of the spine. These nerves control involuntary bodily functions and influence blood vessel responses. By blocking these nerves, the treatment prevents pain signals from reaching the brain, offering significant pain relief.

Compression or inflammation of spinal nerves can result in pain and numbness in the parts of the body served by those nerves. A nerve root block offers relief by administering a local anesthetic directly to the area where the nerves are affected, reducing or stopping the pain.

Radiofrequency ablation, also known as neurotomy, offers relief for individuals experiencing chronic back or joint pain by using heat to disrupt the transmission of pain signals from irritated or inflamed nerves to the brain, helping to reduce or eliminate the discomfort.

The spine and hips are linked by the sacroiliac (SI) joint, which helps distribute the weight and movement between the upper body and legs. Sacroiliac joint injections work by reducing inflammation in the affected joint and the surrounding nerves, providing relief.

Muscles can develop tight spots known as trigger points, causing pain, tension, and sometimes spasms. Trigger point injections use a mixture of anesthetics to relax these knots and relieve the associated discomfort.
